This film is all about this 14th century crusader portray by Nicholas Cage and his comrade portray by Ron Perlman to a homeland distressed by the black plague. This two crusader were being ordered by the beleaguered church, believing sorcery the culprit of the plague, to transport Claire Foy who is an accused witch to a remote abbey, where monks will execute a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence. There are these people who joined a mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of a girl and they are Stephen Campbell Moore as the priest, Ulrich Thomsen as a grieving knight, Stephen Graham as itinerant swindler, and Robert Sheehan as a headstrong youth.
